We do not publish fixed price lists for church cleaning because the variation between buildings is too wide to be useful. A 1,200 sq ft chapel cleaned once a week has a different cost profile from a 12,000 sq ft campus cleaned five days a week with three separate buildings on one key ring. Publishing a number that works for one would mislead the other.

What we can tell you is what drives the cost, and how to interpret the number you receive.

What affects church cleaning pricing

Square footage and space count. The most direct driver. A sanctuary, fellowship hall, nursery and four restrooms cleaned weekly involves more labour hours than a sanctuary and one restroom cleaned bi-weekly.

Frequency. Weekly cleaning contracts cost less per visit than bi-weekly ones, because there is less accumulated work at each visit. Monthly cleaning costs the most per visit and is usually appropriate only for low-use or storage spaces.

Access logistics. Buildings with multiple access points, security codes that change, or restricted access windows (only available after 8pm, only accessible Saturday morning) add coordination time that is reflected in the price.

Condition at contract start. A building that has not had professional cleaning recently may require an initial deep clean before recurring service begins. That initial clean is priced separately.

Specialised surfaces. Hardwood pew finishes, natural stone floors, historic tile, and delicate fabrics require specific products and procedures. If your sanctuary has a 1920s terrazzo floor or original walnut pews, we note that in the scope and price accordingly.

How to get an accurate quote

Request a walkthrough. We visit the facility, document the scope in writing, and return a proposal within two business days. The proposal is line-itemed by space so you can see exactly what you are paying for and adjust scope if needed.

To start, call (866) 958-8773 Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, or use the form below.

A note on volunteer cleaning programmes

Many congregations ask whether professional cleaning is cheaper than volunteers. The comparison is harder than it looks. Volunteer programmes carry real costs: coordinator time, supply purchasing, liability if someone is injured, and the goodwill cost of assigning physical labour to congregation members who came to worship. See our resource Volunteer Teams vs a Professional Cleaning Contract for an honest breakdown.
